
A Workshop for Writers
Pick up your pen and writer's notebook and join author and certified teacher, Barbara Garriel, in a hands-on writer's workshop. Through discussion, question and answer, demonstration and practice, Barbara invites students to investigate her recommended Helpful Hints - How to Be a Good Writer. She works with students of all ages as young professional writers.

FIRST DRAFTS
READING AND ANALYZING A MANUSCRIPT
DOING YOUR BEST WRITING: (improving craft, using sensory detail, how to interest the reader, the power of language, show, don't tell, etc.)
RE-VISION - seeing your work through the eyes of the reader.
*Students are asked to
bring their writing notebook or journal and pens/pencils.
**Suggested group size is no more than 50 students, but individual
circumstances can be discussed.
